Not all events in the park are sponsored by the Friends of Mitchell Park. Check with the Suffolk Times, The East End Beacon, The North Fork Sun, Northfork Patch, the Northforker, the Greenport Village website or other local event information sources for additional information. Our Signature Event
Tai Chi In The Park
Have you noticed the signs at the Camera Obscura, and the fact that it's open more frequently? The Friends of Mitchell Park sponsored the signs and the staffing so this unique feature can be enjoyed by park visitors.
Free Carousel Rides
The Friends of Mitchell Park have been sponsoring free carousel rides for kids 12 and under several times a year. So far in 2026, we offered free rides in conjunction with the BID's Egg Roll and Magic Show. There will be more opportunities throughout the year.
Matching Grant For the New Skating Rink
The Friends of Mitchell Park are sponsoring a matching grant for the fundraising being undertaken by the skating rink committee to bring a skating rink back to Mitchell Park.
