Dances In The Park

Once again, the Friends of Mitchell Park joined other local organizations in supporting Dances In The Park. This support was supplemented by a generous contribution from the Suffolk County Office of Cultural Affairs.
A Capella Concert
​
​May, 2016 saw the debut of an A Cappella Concert in Mitchell Park, featuring music performed by The Princeton Nassoons, one of the nation's oldest and foremost college singing group, and singers from our own Greenport School, as well as kids from Riverhead and Northport, among others. The Friends of Mitchell Park were the proud sponsor of this event.
Shakespeare In The Park

In 2016, the Friends of Mitchell Park was one of many contributors to Northeast Stage's production of Shakespeare in the Park in Mitchell Park. Here is more information on Northeast Stage
Tai Chi In The Park
​
In 2016, the Friends of Mitchell Park started what has become our summer signature event to the park - free Tai Chi, led by Denise Gillies, on Saturdays from 9 to 10AM.
