Summary Of Events Completed in 2023

Free Carousel Rides on December 2, 2023

Children ages 12 and under can ride the Greenport Carousel at Mitchell Park on Front Street for free all day on Saturday, Dec. 2. Carousel opens at 11 a.m.

All are invited to the Village Parade of Lights and Tree Lighting in the Park, scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m., Dec. 2

Free Skate Sundays

Once again, we teamed up with Greenport Village to bring you Free Skate Sunday, for skaters aged 17 and under. It included entry and, if needed, skate rental. We tried to sponsor two days, Sunday January 15, 2022 and Sunday February 5, 2022, 11AM - 5PM.

The winter was unusually warm and there was no skating at all until February 4, so we were fortunate to be able to sponsor 60 skaters on February 5.

We have had Free Skate Sunday in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023 (we lost 2021 to the pandemic).

Tai Chi In The Park

Tai Chi In Mitchell Park Saturdays May - October

Once again we had an excellent season of Tai Chi In The Park, our signature summer event since 2016.

Greenport Film and Music Festival

Congratulations to organizer Jim Morrison on a successful event! On Saturday, June 3, 7:30 -9:30PM he presented the Greenport Film and Music Festival, live music followed by an outdoor screening of short films made by Greenport filmmakers. There were challenges with unseasonably cold temperatures and wind that forced location adjustments. Thanks to Aldo of Aldo's Coffee Company for providing electricity.
