SAIL AMISTAD

The Friends of Mitchell Park are sponsoring a visit to Greenport Marina in Mitchell Park, 115 Front Street, Greenport NY, on June 14-17, 2018, by The Amistad, a replica of the Spanish schooner of the same name. The nonprofit organization, Discovering Amistad (http://discoveringamistad.org/), operates the ship and offers educational programs about the ship and its history. As with all of the programs sponsored by the Friends of Mitchell Park, Greenport Village has generously supported the project, in this case by providing docking facilities in the Greenport Marina. Unfortunately, all tickets to sail aboard the Amistad have been sold.  However, the schooner will be available for free tours dockside on Saturday and Sunday, 2-4PM. And don't miss the Camera Obscura, and Tai Chi on Saturday morning. Please see all the activities below.
